Glenageary Montessori, educating children  in South County Dublin for over 38 years

The school was established in 1984 by Betty Allen Diploma, Montessori Education, catering for children aged from 2 ½ to 5 years.

Our team

We have highly trained Montessori educators with degrees in primary education, Montessori education, and early childhood education. They use their expertise to ensure all children get the best start in life. Our Montessori teachers observe the children and support them in selecting activities that support their learning.

The educators at Glenageary have access to all training programmes and are supported to be the best they can be, providing exceptional childcare to the children.

Our classrooms

We design our classrooms so that they meet the needs of all children. Providing calming surroundings for the children, where furniture and equipment are arranged so that they can make the best use of their environment It provides spaces for children to play and learn, whether sitting at a table or lying on the floor, with all materials and equipment being child-appropriate. Children can be of mixed ages in the classroom; therefore, all children progress at their own pace. Each child can work to their full potential regardless of their age.

Learning and development

Glenageary Montessori will provide children with a range of learning experiences to help them build a foundation of skills for future learning. Children learn through the Montessori materials, which are designed to meet their needs in the five Montessori areas:

  • Practical life
  • Sensory

  • Language
  • Culture
  • Science

Additionally, the child engages in music, drama, Spanish, Irish, arts & crafts, cooking, and physical education.

Our outdoor area

Swings, bikes, cars, and sports activities are available to the children in our outdoor area, which is a very safe environment.
